Editorial & Corrections Policy

Last reviewed: July 2026

This policy governs everything published under the iHemera brand, including all articles in the Insights section. It explains who produces our content, how evidence is weighed, how articles are dated and re-reviewed, how sources are cited, where the medical boundary lies, and how corrections are made. It should be read together with our Disclaimer and Terms of Service.

1. Who Writes and Who Answers for It

Articles are researched and written by the iHemera Research Desk — the research function of the practice. iHemera publishes in an institutional voice, without individual bylines, in the tradition of publications that stake their name rather than a contributor’s on every word. Anonymity of byline is not anonymity of accountability: every article passes editorial review before publication, ultimate editorial responsibility rests with the practice’s founder, and the practice behind the Desk is described openly on our About page.

2. How Articles Are Made

iHemera works with modern analytical intelligence, and says so plainly here as we do everywhere: our research process uses advanced intelligence systems to read the literature at a scale no individual can, cross-reference claims against published evidence, and surface primary sources. Machinery, however, does not publish. Every article is shaped, verified and finished by human editorial judgment before it carries the iHemera name, under one permanent rule: we would rather publish an unwelcome truth than a marketable story.

3. How We Grade Evidence

Evidence has a hierarchy, and our writing respects it. A mechanism observed in mice, an exciting preprint, a compelling anecdote and a replicated body of human outcome data are not the same thing, although the wellness industry prices them identically. In our articles:

  • Replicated human outcome data and formal clinical guidelines carry the most weight;
  • Early, mechanistic or animal evidence is identified as early, mechanistic or animal;
  • Where the evidence is genuinely unsettled, the article says so — the phrase “we do not know yet” appears wherever it is true.

4. Dates and Review Cadence

Every article displays a Reviewed date — the month and year it last passed editorial review. Articles are re-reviewed on a rolling basis and at least annually; where the evidence base has moved, the article is updated and the date refreshed. A Reviewed date is therefore a statement of currency, not of first publication.

5. Sources and Citations

Articles that rest on research claims carry a numbered Sources section identifying the primary studies and guidelines behind them — author, publication and year — so that any claim can be located and checked. On articles addressing medical topics such as medications, supplements or screening, official clinical guidelines are additionally linked directly to the issuing body.

6. The Medical Boundary and Clinical Review

iHemera is a strategic and research advisory, not a medical publisher or provider. Nothing in our articles is medical advice, and no article is a substitute for a qualified physician. Our full Disclaimer governs.

Clinical review. Articles that materially discuss medications, supplements, screening or diagnostics are designated for independent review by a qualified medical professional in addition to editorial review. Where such review has been completed, the article names its clinical reviewer. Where it has not yet been completed, the article carries editorial review only, and we may withhold it from search-engine indexing until clinical review is complete.

7. Corrections

We correct errors quickly and without ceremony. If you believe anything we have published is inaccurate, write to [email protected] with the article and the concern. Verified errors are corrected promptly; material corrections — those that change the substance of what a reader would take away — are acknowledged with a note on the article and a refreshed Reviewed date.

8. Independence and Conflicts

iHemera sells advice and nothing else. We accept no advertising, no sponsorships, no commissions, no affiliate arrangements and no payment of any kind from any clinic, manufacturer, laboratory or provider we write about. No product or provider can pay to appear in, or to be removed from, anything we publish. Our articles are financed by one source only: the fees our clients pay us for judgment — which is precisely why the judgment is worth paying for.
